Buwan ng Wika 2025: Paglinang sa Filipino at Katutubong Wika, Makasaysayan sa Pagkakaisa ng Bansa

On August 29, 2025, Davao Vision College, Inc. proudly celebrated the annual Buwan ng Wika at the DVC Gymnasium with the national theme “Paglinang sa Filipino at Katutubong Wika: Makasaysayan sa Pagkakaisa ng Bansa.” This year’s celebration emphasized the importance of developing the Filipino language and our native dialects as a powerful foundation of national unity and cultural identity.

The program opened with a meaningful ceremony that highlighted the historical and cultural significance of our languages. Students and faculty came in traditional Filipino attire, showcasing the richness and diversity of the country’s heritage.

The celebration was filled with exciting activities and contests such as:

• Sabayang Pagbigkas and Balagtasan, where learners displayed eloquence and mastery of the Filipino language.
• Poster and Slogan Making Competitions, creatively expressing pride in Filipino and native dialects.
• Cultural performances including cultural dances, OPM songs, and spoken word poetry that celebrated both tradition and artistry.

The 2025 Buwan ng Wika celebration at Davao Vision College, Inc. was not just a festive event but a meaningful reminder that through language, we preserve our heritage and strengthen national unity. Truly, “Paglinang sa Filipino at Katutubong Wika ay Makasaysayan sa Pagkakaisa ng Bansa.”
